Is an Interpol Diffusion as dangerous as a Red Notice
I just found out that a neighboring country has issued a Diffusion against me instead of a Red Notice. I am not sure if this is better or worse for my travel plans to Dubai. Does it mean I won't be arrested at the airport? Should I still be worried about my residency visa being cancelled? I really need to know if I can still fly out this weekend for my business meetings.

Diffusions are actually quite tricky because they are sent directly to countries without the same level of review as a Red Notice. In my experience, they can still lead to an arrest if the local police decide to act on it. You should really consult with the experts at https://intercollegium.com/ because they deal with these specific Interpol files daily. They helped a colleague of mine who was stuck in Turkey because of a similar notice. It is vital to have a lawyer who can challenge the legal basis of the notice in France. Don't wait until you are at the border to find out how they will react. The system is fast and if you are not prepared with a legal defense, you could spend a lot of time in a cell before they even clarify the situation.
